Since Camp Summit
is an evangelism & discipleship center for men & boys,
the profile of a man and a boy are carved into the mountain
slopes, symbolizing our ministry purpose.
The Location & Description
Camp Summit
is located in north central Costa Rica, Central America.
It takes a little under 2 hours to drive there from San José, the
capital. It is an 80-acre camp covered by tropical trees inhabited
by various exotic birds, such as toucans. A river runs down one
side of the property. This pristine piece of land is located
20 minutes from the nearest town, Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí.
The Name
It is called Camp Summit because
we believe God calls and empowers Christian men to live their
lives from victory to victory, or summit to summit. But far
too many have been in the valleys and shadows so long they
have lost all hope. They are deceived into believing that
this is as high a level as they could aspire to live on. We
are unwilling to let men & boys settle for mediocrity. Camp Summit is where
thousands of men & boys learn the discipline and exhilaration
of reaching spiritual summits.
The Vision
Camp Summit is serving 19 Latin
American and Caribbean countries as the international Royal
Rangers Training Center. Since '97 when the property was
purchased, many life-changing events have been held at the
camp. Several "first-ever" activities
have been launched from the camp which are being duplicated in
countries throughout the region. Men's ministries discipleship
activities are also being conducted at the camp. As a result,
the lives of men & boys are being impacted for eternity.
