Doug and Kerry Marsh are missionaries committed to moblizing men and churches worldwide to mentor the next generation of men.
“We want to evangelize our world,” he says, “equip the next generation of Christlike men, and empower them to be lifelong servant leaders.”
An Assemblies of God missionary, Doug serves as the director of Royal Rangers International, which he founded in 2002. It now has programs in more than 90 nations around the world.
He served as the U.S. national director from 2007-2014; served as the training coordinator, and later the coordinator, for Royal Rangers in Latin America and the Caribbean from 1989-2002.
While living in Costa Rica from 1993-2002, Doug and Kerry founded Camp Summit, an 80-acre evangelism and discipleship center for men and boys. He also created men’s ministry resources for use by church leaders.
The son of missionaries, Doug was born in Peru and raised in Bolivia. He became a Royal Ranger when he was six. As a teenager, Doug trained adults to be Royal Rangers leaders and started 33 outposts before he graduated from high school. He also earned the Royal Rangers’ highest award at the time, the Gold Medal of Achievement, in addition to many other honors.
Doug has a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Evangel University, also in Springfield. He is the author of two books, A Guy’s Journey to Manhood and, A Guy’s Journey to Servant Leadership, as well as numerous articles.
Doug and Kerry were married in 1992 and have two teenage children, Jonathan and Katelyn. Together they enjoy beekeeping, raising chickens, and tending their family garden. “We love life and are on a mission!”
